Artists for Future

"I used to think the top environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought that with 30 years of good science we could address these problems, but I was wrong.
The top environmental problems are selifshness, greed and apathy, and to deal with those we need a spiritual and cultural transformation.
And we scientists don’t know how to do that."

img_20191211_160325.jpgWe artists are asked to take a clear stance, increase pressure, mobilize people and get decision-makers to act. Our possibilities for this are artistic expression and creating publicity.
Art reflects and creates social realities. Or question it. That is why we share responsibility for what is socially normal. This applies in particular to the question of how we deal with each other and with our natural foundations of life - both in our direct environment and globally.

Art can translate facts into emotional experiences.
Art can unleash imaginations and create new narratives.
Art can change.
